Wow My first posted picture. It took awhile to get it, but I prayed and pushed on. This picture I have had for a little while. It has been tac pinned at my computer desk for constant inspiration. I found Debbie Allen and Vivian Allen Nixon (mother and daughter) on the cover of a braid magazine and fell in love with it.

Waiting to Exhale
Hello my sistas...Well I have my date of installation for my sls, this Wed and Thurs March 28 & 29 BOY O BOY O BOY O BOY (smile) can u tell I'm excited beyond words. I found my certified loctician on the sl web site. I knew she was the one for me when I found out she lives 10 mins away from me and we are members of the same church (CCC). I mean when God gives u the ok to do something in your life he prepares from all the angles. I called her and we met after church so she could see my hair length. That was Nov 06. She has a beautiful head of 6 year old sl. She saw my excitement and the spark in my eye as I starred at her hair and asked a bunch of questions. She kindly and gently told me ...baby.. u need more hair. (after my GI Jane a month earlier I probably had 1 inch of hair if that) I have stalked the sl blog exchange for the last 4 months reading all from begining to end WoW u girls a serious about this blog thing. Anyway I digress I called my loctician last week and said I think I am ready to start my Journey and wanted her to check a sista out. She is so great, she came by my home and did a spot check for length because both my little ones were sick. Well she made this mama feel so good when she told me I was ready
Yea Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
sugamama in the house!!!!!!!!!!!
I went out today and bought a digital camera. I will take pics this weekend of my braids before I take them out. Then the afro and the installation of my sls. First I have to read the directions for this thang, I am truly old school when it comes to this stuff. I am so excited I will be devouring the instructions. I need to be a pro for my daughters college graduation in May, and sugamama will find a way.
