WOW I'm really here...I feel like alice in wonderland in more ways than one. I am sooooo happy to be a part of this exhange. Well I will start with "Girls I did a GI Jane on my head in October of 2006. I am currently a lady in waiting for my loctician to give me my ok to install my sistalocs. I have that day before christmas feeling everyday, knowing I'm closer to at least 2 and a half inchs. It will be next month April 2007 Yea Ya!!!!! I know some of you ladies can relate because I have been stalking this exchange for 7 months. Reading from begining to end your personal journeys. This sista is sooooo grateful for the way you shared from twas to rockin mature locs. You ladies inspire me. I want and plan on being part of the sistahood as soon as I can. Mind and pocket is ready. Come on hair growwwwwwwwwwwww. I know Patience begins now right. I do hear you ladies on that. This sugamama is waiting to exhale. By the way the Sugamama thing my kids named me sugamama...........Lovin it. As soon as I find out how to post pics I will post before and after.

I was thrilled to receive your comment maryee. I already feel part of the sisterhood in my mind and heart. Thanks for the encouragement. Today my certified loctician came by my home and said my hair was long enough for her to install the sisterlocs..YEA YA!!!
I will have an appointment within the next two weeks. Talk about excited. I identify with every sista I read about going thru this waiting period. In the last 5 months while waiting for my hair to grow in its natural state, I've done weave and braids. All this will soon end and I will be the woman I already see myself as.

Hi Sugamama. I feel ya on waiting for the installation day. This time a year ago I was anticipatin "That Great Gettin Up Mornin! like you. Sista, you betta hear me when I say that this 1 year journey has been FAN-TAZ-TIC. Can you spell FREEDOM? Cuz that's what you're about to xperience as long as you have your locks. A word of advice, love your Sisterlocks and I promise they'll luv ya back. Ciao!
